Recall of the myStrom WiFi Switch (EU) (EU version with the round Schuko plug) – the Swiss version is not concerned

Dear Customer,

A newly conducted Security Test of the myStrom WiFi Switch (EU) (EU version with round Shuko plug) has unfortunately resulted in the discovery that this Switch does not fully comply with the CE Norm security requirements. This issue was not discovered when the initial CE Certification was conducted.

For your own safety, we kindly ask you to immediately no longer use this device.

The Swiss version of the myStrom WiFi Switch (CH) is absolutely not concerned by this matter.

In order to avoid any future risks, we would like to kindly ask you to give the Switch back to the place where you bought it. And even if you no longer have the original packaging, you will get your money back.

If you had purchased the WiFi Switch from the mystrom.ch online shop, please send us your mailing address to info@mystrom.ch. We will then send you a return voucher as well as a return label. In this case you will also get your money back.

Is an exchange possible?
We will not be able to offer a new device version in the near future. For this reason, we kindly ask you to follow the “money-back” process described above. It is nevertheless possible, that we will bring a new CE-compliant version and offer it to all customers concerned by this recall for a special price.

How did we become aware of this security issue?
A potential sales partner ordered a new CE Certification.

Has anyone had to endure damages until today?
